SIRIUS' 'Roots Bloody Roots' Celebrating SLAYER's 'Raining Blood'
August 24, 2007Sirius Satellite Radio's Hard Attack radio program "Roots Bloody Roots", hosted by "Sound of the Beast" author Ian Christe, will celebrate the 21st anniversary of SLAYER's classic 1986 album "Raining Blood" on August 28 at 9:00 p.m. ET. The show is described as follows: "SLAYER's amazing thrash anthem 'Raining Blood' has been known to cause mass mayhem worldwide, inciting more than 15 circle pits at the same time and destroying giant arenas. Now with the help of the Invisible Oranges metal blog, 'Bloody Roots' presents a full hour of cover versions of the timeless classic — recorded by VADER, MALEVOLENT CREATION, and Spanish-language thrashers SERPENTINE… not to mention a hardcore techno version, and a piano based version by TORI AMOS."
